Scheduled goals

The first goal is to review and finish http://docs.jquery.com/UI/Guidelines and there is currently no specific schedule. davidserduke is looking at it, but since it's a large task everyone is welcome. It's a good place to start anyway.

If you want to take over a section to document and want to make sure you aren't duplicating work add your name below.

Completed tasks

  • added setters/getters section to UI/Guidelines
  • added $(...).data() and $(...).removeData() to jQuery core section
  • proofread/edited all documentation currently in UI/Guidelines

How to participate

The first thing to do is get to know jQuery UI. I'm not sure what the best way for that is at the moment. I started by reading the blog post here:

http://jquery.com/blog/2008/02/12/jquery-ui-15b-new-api-more-features-huge-performance-boost

And will be looking at the code here and demos here:

http://jqueryjs.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/ui/

to try and get some sense of how things work.

The guidelines page which is still work-in-progress is here:

http://docs.jquery.com/UI/Guidelines

The root of the UI docs is here:

http://docs.jquery.com/UI

So looking over what the docs say and what they are supposed to do is going to obviously be the eventual goal.
